But this right here is just cool. I must have never noticed until the other night. It would be even better if it was the same color as my car. I love my gauges. The speedo is much better than the standard one (I like that every 10mph is marked) and I prefer my tach.

Digital gauges can be either really cool, or really stupid. It comes down mostly to how much inspiration was taken from fighter jets.

One thing I do like is how they've really put RPM at the forefront now that we can just digitally display speed as a number.

I can switch to a digital speedo but I prefer the analog style. My tach is still a real analog gauge so it's stuck there on the left but I like it compared to the base gauges. Center would be ideak though.

Another thing I like (and this goes for all speedos) is that it only goes up to 120. I hate when a speedometer goes far past what the car will actually do.

Ah, see, I hate speedometers that only go to 120, particularly on unrestricted cars. Nissan was notorious for this in the 90s, they'd put 100-120 mph speedometers on cars that were legally supposed to be limited to 115, but could breeze up to 140.

I've hit 120 in it, so it will do at least that. I'm not sure wether it's limited to 120 or not but it seems realistic. I hate driving somwthing like a Pacifica with a 140mph speedo. Yeah fucking right, a Pacifica isn't doing 140.

Congrats! What engine/tranny?

Mine is an Aero so it came standard with the TFT gauges, Uconnect 8.4, rear view camera, racetrack taillights, and 1.4L turbo. Early Aeros don't seem to have the fancy radio, camera, and gauges as standard though.

The 2.0 liter Automatic. Mainly because of all the commuting I do, having done the commute in a VW bus a manual is no fun in stop and go.

Got it with employee pricing even, I pick it up next Saturday.

Haha, the Mazda 3 speedometer goes up to 160. As a result, legal speeds are all squashed together on one side of the dial. So dumb.

I have no problems with digital panels, as long as they add something useful.

Instant MPG and fuel range are useless.

I do like the Civic layout for the 8th Gen

Its just a little weird how the speed is a little slow to update.

I'll be looking forward to pictures. What color did you get? I picked mine off the lot so it was engine/tranny & features > color but the True Blue grew on me.

I got the True Blue. Has the touch screen bit in it, the only issue I had on the test drive was the slowish seeming acceleration off the light
